I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the DART group of the Department of Computer Science of NTNU, working for the AI4IoT pilot within the AI4EU project. Previously, I held an ERCIM Alain Bensoussan Research Fellowship at the same group in 2020 and was a postdoctoral grantee at the Instituto Superior Técnico in 2016 and 2018-2019. Between late 2016 and early 2018 I worked as a volunteer for the portuguese NGO Leigos para o Desenvolvimento in São Tomé e Príncipe, serving as local project manager, in development cooperation projects.

My work in the AI4IoT pilot goes towards using sensing data from urban sensors to improve human and autonomous decision making. I am also very much interested in decision making under uncertainty (model based planning and reinforcement learning), with a particular focus in partial observability.
